Part of SES, our Special Projects team leads the way in comprehensive tunnelling services. So, it's no surprise that our most recent tunnelling clients include organisations like United Utilities, BAM Nuttall, Walter Energy, National Grid, and Cleveland Potash. We met their needs by tunnelling through granite, sandstone, limestone, siltstone, mudstone, dolomite, coal beds, and Portland stone; constructing tunnels for cables, flood alleviation, transport, mine access - and even nature conservation. 

SES's Special Projects also leads the way in tunnelling safety. When our tunnelling specialists aim for zero accidents on every job, they mean it. They know - inside and out - IOSH, SMSTS, MASHAM, and SMIM approved standards. They're the reason Special Projects is a member of the British Tunnelling Society and HSE Engineering Liaison Committee member. They're at home with explosives, repairing collapsed tunnels, re-opening closed mines, and working to the strictest control measures.

We're there for your tunnel surveying, planning, construction, maintenance, and repair. We're there when you need drivage equipment installed, mine conveying systems specified, or ground support systems designed. And we'll be there long into the future.
